Leading the Ascendant Group is Mr. Eduardo C. Arroyo Jr. A well respected stockbroker, his long involvement in the financial arena, both local and international brings prestige and considerable respect to the company in the local business field. Former adviser to President Fidel V. Ramos. Mr. Arroyo was also the head of the Philippine Times Journal, the largest newspaper concern in the Philippines.
Also part of the Ascendant Team are Dr. Ramon B. Gustilo, former head of the Department of Orthopedics of Makati Medical Hospital. Among his many achievements, Dr. Gustilo was the former head of the Orthopedic Department of Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Heading up the IT Division is Sergio V. Arroyo. An alumnus of U.C. Berkeley, Sergio brings to the company his extensive technical experience gained from working for 7 years in Silicon Valley for such companies as NBC and American Express. Previous to that, on the local scene, he has had 9 years working in the Philippine stock exchanges as a financial analyst and portfolio manager.
Also part of the ICT Team is Nicolas Gustilo, based out of Kansas City. Nicolas lends his considerable technical skill and talent, gained from many years of providing mobile solutions and communication architecture to such companies as Cingular and Verizon wireless.
Joining the company to lend his business development expertise is Federico "Dickie" Gonzalez, an alumnus of MIT (Cambridge, Mass.) and corporate world veteran who now advocates and practices technology entrepreneurship. He heads the Philippine Emerging Startups Open, Inc., has organized the PESO Challenge Business Plan Competition, advises tech startups and teaches at AIM, DLSU and UP.
